You habitually put the laundry in the drum and started the wash, and after a while you found that the Atlant washing machine does not wash and issues the F3 code. For example, the F3 error in the Atlant machine appears regardless of the program, besides, washing may well continue further. What does this code mean and how to fix the problem that has arisen?
Decoding the error
The F3 error code means that there is a problem with water heating: it is not there or, on the contrary, it is excessive. In this case, the machine can work normally in the wash modes in cold water, but on programs with heating, an error appears. In models without a screen, this error is indicated as follows - the 3rd and 4th drain indicators are on.
If you notice that your linen is poorly washed, while a musty smell is felt, then most likely there is a breakdown of the heating element.
Reasons not requiring repair
- Electrical connection. It is necessary to clearly trace if there is any damage to the cord itself or the plug. It is also important that the connection to the electrical network is carried out directly, that is, immediately to the outlet, and not using an adapter.
- A system crash has occurred. If this is the first time you have such an error, you can give the machine time to rest. Unplug the machine by pulling out the power cord for literally ten minutes. It crashes quite often, but it is temporary and such a reboot will help.
- Check the connection of the heating element wires. This scenario is possible if the device was disassembled before the breakdown of this type. It is likely that the contacts have just drifted a little from their usual place.

Faults requiring repair
In addition to malfunctions that do not require repair, there are also those that require direct repair.
The heating element broke
If, when washing at a high temperature, the glass of the hatch remains cold, then the heating element is faulty. Also, if the washing machine is shocked, the heater insulation may be damaged, and this can cause a short circuit and even a fire. The cause of the malfunction may be a factory defect or scale. The heating element cannot be repaired; replacement is required. Be sure to check the heating element with a multimeter, perhaps the problem is not in it, but in the temperature sensor (in some models, the temperature sensor is installed separately from the heater).
Broken thermal sensor
The appearance of the F3 error at the very beginning of the wash, when the washing machine does not heat, overheats or completely boils the water, may indicate a malfunction of the temperature sensor - a temperature sensor that measures the temperature of the water in the washing machine. In this case, the replacement of the temperature sensor will be required, and if it is built directly into the heating element, which is observed in most models, then a complete replacement of the heating element will be required.
Defective control board
If, 12-15 minutes after the start of washing, the F3 error is displayed on the display of the Atlant machine and the washing process stops completely, this means that the control board could have failed. This is a microcircuit that controls the working process of the washing machine. Basically, the relay located on the control board burns out, which is responsible for turning on the heating element or the track. In this case, you will need to replace the burned out relay or solder the tracks. At the time of processor failure, the control module will need to be completely replaced.
Wiring problem
If the F3 error appears in the washing machine, then disappears, then the wiring from the heating element to the control module is damaged. In such a situation, you need to twist the damaged wiring or completely replace the loop with wires.
